This last Sunday was simply beautiful. It started with getting to meet Hayley’s wonderful family in the morning, who had flown out from England to be here. They were such a fun group and made for a great start to the day! But definitely the highlight was getting to eat her mom’s homemade shepherd’s pie. I asked if she would adopt me, but she seemed slightly reluctant…
The rest of the day couldn’t have been better. Hayley + Dan got married at Redwoods Golf Course which was a stunning location. From the decorations, to the venue, to the exceptionally friendly staff – it was just perfect. The sun warmed the guests as they sat outside in the beautiful ceremony venue, waiting for the bride to meet her groom. The officiator made us all laugh throughout the ceremony, and the couple were simply beaming.
The rest of the night was spent watching people do tequila shots, followed by advice to the bride and groom, eating the most delicious steak, listening to heartfelt speeches, eating dessert that I’m sure will be in heaven, and dancing the night away. What a great day!
Be right back, gotta go get married.
As we finished photos, Hayley and Dan went in the opposite direction I was thinking they would. As Hayley saw the confused look on my face, she said: “We are going to enter the reception in a golf cart with flames on the side and big wheels.” Her and Dan then walked to the building in the back and hid until the entrance was set to happen. I waited, simply stunned at what I had just heard, thinking it couldn’t be true. But then, before my very eyes, this happened… 🙂
I think the guests were as shocked as I was…
This guy was amazing – he made BBQ steaks however you wanted them and was so friendly to every guest!
This was hilarious. Guests had two options: 1) Come up and roll the dice – if it is even, the bride and groom kiss, and if it is odd – you kiss! 2) Do a tequila shot, then give the bride and groom some advice. Needless to say, it made for some great entertainment!
These two rolled evens, but he didn’t seem so pleased, so kept going until he got odds (aka got the kiss form the pretty lady 🙂
All these guests flew from England to be here! Now those are some dedicated people!
Even the golfers thought the speeches were worth stopping for!
When there is a 5 minute break, you grab the couples and go on a mini-shoot!
Hayley + Dan, we all wish you the best on this new and exciting adventure. You make a beautiful couple and it was an honour to photograph your special day!
