Just last year, I had the privilege of photographing Jenna and Steven’s wedding day which was such a blast. It was one of the hottest weddings of the season but they were champs throughout it all. I was soo excited when I got an email from Jenna asking if I could do maternity photos for them. It’s such an honour to get to capture special moments for couples that used to be strangers but are now friends! They are going to be unreal parents and will make sure this baby is well loved (pretty sure even their dog is going to accomplish that one!). So here are some photos of the beautiful mama and the awesome dad to tie you over until we get to see super adorable photos of their BABY!
One of the best things in life is when you see two incredible people decide to get married. I’m learning that a bonus to that is when you see those same incredible people decide to become parents together. It’s a beautiful thing to watch these two transform into parents and see how they love and serve one another along the way. For everyone who knows Caleb and Jelaine, they know that this baby is already so deeply blessed to be born into a family where these two will be their parents!
I rarely do maternity shoots, so each one I do is great fun. Ours involved chasing the sun, watching Caleb attempt to think of funny jokes to make Jel laugh, getting photobombed by little girls playing with kayaks, making illegal U-turns to get to the sunset in time, making the pregnant lady run down a busy road, and ending it all off with 7-11 slurpees and potato wedges… oh and we took a few fun photos along the way… 🙂

“See that good lookin’ couple behind you? I’m taking pictures of them!”

Stay tuned in a few weeks, the world will get to meet Baby Megan! (Still working on convincing them to name their child that, but maybe if you all get on board, there will be a higher chance…). Here’s to all the great things in store for this growing family of three!
So way back to my first year of University, Kalia was my small group leader for a class called “University 101.” It is intended to help first years transition well into university life. In the meantime, Zander was my now husband’s bible study leader. Needless to say, when I got a message from Kalia inquiring about maternity photos, I was so excited to see them both again. It was so great to enjoy this beautiful crisp fall morning with them both and I can’t wait for them to be parents SO SOON!
