Pitt Lake is an ever-faithful photo spot that is one of my favourite backdrops. No matter how many times I shoot there, I still find myself feeling inspired by both the beautiful nature around us and the new couple in front of me. Taylor and Rebekah were a blast to hang out with; they could make each other laugh and so clearly love being together. So excited for their big day this summer!
You know when Cascade Falls is the choice of location for an engagement shoot, you are going to end up with some stellar backdrops! We certainly got this privilege as Justen, Katie, and I made the trek up to the falls (I say that just for kicks as we all know it takes about 10 minutes to hike up…ha!). Katie had hoped for snow and sun for her engagement shoot and by some crazy coincidence, that’s exactly what we got. It wasn’t until the last 15 minutes that it started snowing and it only lasted for a few minutes, but it was enough to get her absolutely beaming as she couldn’t believe it! I loved hanging out with these two and I am so pumped to shoot their big day!
True gentlemen blow on their fiance’s hair so it blows nicely in the wind… 🙂
I was so excited to get an email from Kristin inquiring about engagement photos. I’ve met her two sisters and LOVE them so of course knew that I would love her too! And when you have a fantastic person, they typically marry another fantastic person which is certainly the case of these two! They braved the deceivingly cold weather and totally rocked the shoot! Thanks for all the fun, Kristin and Mark!
Yesterday, Jenny, Steve, and I had a great time wandering around Yaletown finding the hidden gems of the streets. I left Steve with the noble task of constantly making Jenny laugh and he certainly did us proud. But seriously, these two have so much fun together and the bonus is they look pretty great doing it! Can’t wait for their wedding!
Prior to meeting Tori and Jon, I received numerous messages from my friends saying, “I heard you’re photographing Tori and Jon’s wedding; you’re so lucky! They’re the best!”
When I met these two on the streets of Yaletown, I quickly realized that my friends were most certainly right; they are unreal! You’ll quickly tell by the photos, which have a very common theme of laughter throughout, that they have an impressive ability to keep each other smiling non-stop…it’s the best.
I loved getting to know them as we walked around Yaletown, while finding a bunch of hidden gems to take photos in front of. Needless to say, I’m pumped for their wedding and even more excited that these two found each other!
Thanks for all the fun, Tori + Jon!
Kyla and Adam are the type that can make each other laugh on the spot and can’t stop looking at each other – it’s the best (and makes my job super easy!). We had a great time exploring a new park and finding some beautiful spots! Kyla and I were also quite entertained by Adam’s attempt of walking through a marsh “gracefully” which ended with him being about a foot deep in mud… it’s all about creating memories, right?
The best types of couples are the ones who can keep smiling in the rain! Katie and Dylan embraced the cold, wet weather, by holding each other close and giving each other some big, warm hugs. I think we could all learn a lesson or two from them! I had a great time adventuring the park with these two!
I’ve always known that I love shooting in Golden Ears, but during this shoot, I realized how much I love shooting in Golden Ears with two people who have never been there before! Seeing the awe on Tamara and Landon’s faces as we walked through the lush forests reminded me to not take this for granted. We certainly are lucky to live in a place where this is our backyard! And I am lucky to get to photograph couples as awesome as these two!
