August 12, 2016 – what a day! It started by getting to hang out with the ladies in one of the calmest atmosphere’s I’ve ever photographed. It makes such a difference having such a laid back bride and wedding party! We then headed out into the heat of the day (30+ degrees all day!) and were off to get Rachelle married! The ceremony was nice and cozy as it was a small church right across the street from the reception venue. The ceremony was so beautifully authentic – you could tell the couple was feeling the weight of the moment which resulted in a mix of tears and permanent smiles throughout the whole service.
As a teacher, I was in love with their reception venue. It was in this super cute schoolhouse that had chalkboard walls everywhere – so great! The whole evening had such a great feel between formal wedding, and casual backyard hang out. In between the events throughout the night, people went outside to cool off, grab some drinks, kick around a soccer ball, and hang out on some vintage couches. As you’ll be able to tell by the photos below, this was a fantastic wedding and such an honour to capture the day of two exceptional people.
All the best Mr. + Mrs. Barker! Thanks for letting me celebrate your day with you!
Hey Megan – what are the names of the venues and caterer for this wedding?
Great question!
Ceremony: Old Clayburn Church
Reception: Clayburn Village Schoolhouse
I believe the caterers were Original Joes – where the bride works! 🙂
