You are the reason we can make an impact.
CURRENT AMOUNT TO RAISE = $3,000 CURRENT PROJECT = FAMILY VISITATIONS TO THE RAP HOME
Our next goal is to cover the cost of family visits and support that the RAP (Ratanak Achievement Program) staff provide the young women. Family visits are a very important part of reintegration because it’s important for the girls to have the support of their family and to stay connected to those relationships, as those are key relationships for life. Security concerns are always taken into consideration and family visits only happen when appropriate. Staff always accompanies the girls for these visits. Family visits usually happen roughly twice a year and might include travel to border provinces that are a fairly lengthy journey. The support part of the budget is for the regular visits that the staff have with reintegrated girls as even though the girls are no longer technically part of RAP once they are reintegrated, ongoing support and connection is still very important as they learn to live independently.
